Yes! The memories that we hope that will come true. Those that place a smile on our face. Those that give us sweet dreams...those that keep us from feeling alone. Those are the best ones because they give us hope for the future. : )

Not neccessarily better than those we already have, but somehow I suspect that may not be your real point.

Let me repeat for you an answer I gave to another question from a mutual friend, whose wise footprint has touched this very page:

"Unless we have the awareness to be ready, and to grasp the Moments that come to us, by the time we see that the fruit is ripe, it will have already begun to wither.

One must have a mind to be conscious of the Moment, or at least the phenomenon of Moments, before the Moment arrives, and plan to keep an eye open for the ripe fruit, not just wait for it."

It is perhaps not a question of whether the best memories are the ones yet to come, but whether we live in the expectation that they may be.

I don't think that we can decide what type of memory is the best until we've lived completely and we have all the memories we could possible have . . .

I believe for some people the answer would be yes, I would consider myself to be one of these people. Then again, I haven't had any children yet and I'm not married so I have a few things to look forward too.

I like to believe there are more 'best' memories to create. I have tons of memories that are grand to me and I wish I could relive those moments. I just hope more are to come my way :-)

No I think the ones we've already made are the best, but then we have the new ones to look forward too.

Who am I to compare memories? Each one represents a different era of our lives, and is considered "best" depending on our Mood. Far be it from me to be a judge of memories.

i definitely have memories that i cherish and will be hard to beat. but our past is also filled with ups and downs so not every memory is a happy one. such is life. i suspect that the future will be very similar and some of its memories will certainly make it to my greatest hits list.

id like to think that the memories i cherish as of now are the penultimate in greatness, but i imagine eventually another moment will come along and surpass this delusion
