one answer so far, I agree with it. I would also add health care reform. I think it should be a crime in a country like ours not to have some form of socialized medicine in this country, catastrophic illness happens. It can wipe out your whole savings and leave you homeless. It is just not right to not have a national government that isn't of, by and for the people.

I want the government to STOP the drug trade here in America by whatever means necessary. I believe the drug trade is at the crux of our crime rate. I'm not talking about white collar crime. I'm talking about the murder rate and urban crime, I would also like to see the individual states put more money into the mental health care system by reopening the mental hospitals that so many have shut down due to the state not wanting to support them anymore and thereby releasing them into the streets expecting them to take their medicine on their own via halfway houses. Instead they end up on the streets as homeless people and dilusional potentially dangerous. If I say I'm republican then I will be labeled as cold and heartless if I say I am a democrat then I will be labeled as a bleeding heart libral so I won't say. I just want more for my taxes the crime rate in Pennsylvania where I'm from is getting scary.

To stop spending so much money overseas-
and about the disaster money. I have been working the gulf coast since Katrina, how can you compare the blizzard to what happened here? If we spent 2 billion a month on our own people, I could go home. Get off your lazy *** and come help rebuild, I guarantee you've never seen this kind of destruction, a year and a half later. Ever heard of Karma? I hope it bites you in the ***!

As a business owner, I want them to stop trying to tax me and regulate me out of existence. Stop trying to make me pay a minimum wage I can't afford to pay.
Provide for a strong millitary and a good interstate highway system. That's about all the federal government should be in the business of.
