First of all, I wanted to say that I am on birth control and I also used condoms. But, back to the problem. I had sex right after my last period, and now that I am on my "inactive" pills, I have not had my period yet. I don't really know whether it is something else because of two other reasons. One, this is my second month on birth control. Two, the first month I was on birth control, I had to be put on antibiotics, therefore making my first period come early as well as making the birth control not as effective. But other than that, I have not missed any pill, and no condoms broke or leaked. I also dont have any other symptoms of pregnancy. Should I take a test? I need some advice...PLEASE!!!!

Your period doesn't always come as soon as you use the inactive pills, especially if you are just starting out on them.

Don't be too scared. It usually takes more than one "accident" to get pregnant. It takes most people TRYING to get pregnant several MONTHS, so don't be too worried!

If this doesn't ease you, you can call your OBGYN and speak to a nurse or doctor who can give you a better idea of what your body is doing. Most likely, it's just taking your body a while to adjust to the pills. Last time I was on birth control I got my period the LAST day of my inactive pills quite a bit. It happens.

Sometimes it takes a while for your body to get adjusted to the pill. You might need a different dose - the pill you're on may be a bit too strong for your system. Also, stress can delay your period. If your period doesn't come in a couple of days, I'd take a test. If it still hasn't come and the test is negative, I'd go to the Dr. and see if he/she can put you on a pill more suitable for your system.

To answer your question. I had a friend who was on birth control and had to go on antibiotics also. Birth control is not has effective when you are on antibiotics. My friend later find out she was pregnant. So if i were you i would go to your doctor or take a test to be on the safe side.

No one can tell you whether or not you're pregnant. Give it another week and if your period still doesn't come, then take a test. By the way, the generic tests work just as well as the name brand ones, so save yourself some money if you end up buying one. Good luck!

I would just take a deep breath. Your prob not pregnant. All this stressing is making you late. Pills plus a condom are very effective and I wanna say good job at being extra careful and not being like the others and cant understand why they get pregnant

Ok when were you on antibiotics? ( like what day of your cycle) and did you have sex around that time? I will say 99.9% sure you are not because condoms are VERY effective when used right. I would wait till you have to start your pack again and if you still have not started then you should test to make double sure.

You're probably just stressing over it too much. Plus, if this is only your second month on birth control your body is probably just adjusting to the hormones.

i'm now unlikely to assert that you're over reacting because i might want to doing a similar component you're, yet have you ever examine what the emails have suggested? i might want to easily enable issues play out and merely keep monitoring what they say lower to and fro, and that i understand the way you experience about haveing a loved one over sea's I lost my boyfriend merely about 2yrs in the past over there, this is confusing. yet you may want to not have something to agonize about, perhaps he's wanting suggestion, and would not favor to ask you for it reason he needs an intruder's opinon on it. yet i'm right here in case you want to communicate extra about it.

dont take the test until you are 2 weeks late, or until you start to notice the symptoms.
