Okay so Christmas Eve I tried to unlock my car doors with the little remote thing right, and it wouldn't unlock. So I thought it was the battery in the the remote. But when I went to start car absolutely nothing happened. So the day after Christmas I went to get a new battery and everything was better until now.. My car is DEAD once again. What's the deal?

Have the alternator checked out.

Your battery gets re-charged by something called an alternator. Your alternator could be bad. Your car could also have something called a parasitic draw which means that something in your car - for example your radio, clock or anything electrical in your car, is sucking power from your battery when the car is not running. There are many other possible reasons for this but these are two of the most common.

If the engine is not turning over at all when you turn the key I would say that your battery has drained and ergo your alternator has died. If the alternator isn't re-chrging the bettery as you drive, then you are just slowly draining the battery. You can re-charge your bettery a little with another car and jumper cables if you can't afford a tow, but it takes a while.

Something is draining the charge on your car battery or your car charging system is not working correctly. You can have load test done on you battery to rule it out as the problem!

Although the previous answers are correct - Don't forget the easy, check the fan belt - if it's broken the alternator won't turn therefore no charging!
