why do people like myspace?

Well, that's a good question and i assume that there are millions of answers out there. I think that Myspace gives people an opportunity to be themselves and do things they normally wouldn't do in public like going up to a random and talking to them in this case that would be leaving a comment on a random's space. It also gives them an opportunity to showcase their interests and personality and their creativeness as they are able to design and personalize their own spaces. People also like it because it's entertaining and informative as people can get to know their friends better and get to know other people. Those ideas above are just hypotheses and as everyone else has their own perception, there's no right or wrong answer.

Personally, I, myself like Myspace. I'm military and most of my friends are military so it's great to be able to keep in touch with everyone from everywhere without the HUGE phone bill, ya know? But then again there are people that use it for the wrong reasons, such as to see who is the most popular sort of speak.

Really, I don't know. So little girlie wanna-bee whores can hook-up with complete strangers, and 35 year old men? Honestly don't know. The whole oh my 8 top friends things.. I hear EVERYONE talk about it anywhere I go.. oh and then he took me off his top eight and put Christie there blah blah It makes me want to tackle them to the ground and say STFU you SL.UT and get a real life!

I think myspace is pathetic, and most of the people who use it are as well. It's a bunch of drama.

But for me, I love myspace because Ive talked to people I havent talked to in YEARS and thanks to myspace, Ive met new friends and stay in touch with people I would be completely out of contact with if there wasnt myspace. For me- myspace=lifesaver.
..And unlike other freaks, Im not over addicted to it, you know?
..its just fun.

because we live in a society in which we want friends, and sometimes, also for pics on user's profiles or to know more people. i use myspace(im) when I feel bored and dont feel to visit my friends and just to keep contact, plus judging profiles, slideshows and other html content.
