Whenever I get out of the shower the area around my face and nose feels dry and I was thinking about using some lotion after I'm done. but if i use it will it make my skin vulnerable to dirt and anything else that can create blackheads and pimples?

I'm using Vaseline intensive car aloe cool&fresh light moisturizing lotion if that means anything.

I make sure to use exfoliation gloves while in the shower, this helps your skin to look and feel smoother; I also use moisturizing shower gel--this helps with the dryness, too. I use a moisturizer on my face and neck, then body lotion on the rest of my body.
Moisturizers are made to sink into your skin, Lotions are made to stay on the surface of your skin. I have good luck using Neutragena products as they are very gentle on the skin. If you look for moisturizers that say non-comediagenic, they are specially formulated to not clog your pores which should help keep your skin clear.

hey no putting on moisturizer after a wash is not bad.
in fact it's good, especially after a hot wash. the warmer the water is the dryer ur skin gets. its best not to wash ur face in hot water.
using lotion after ur shower will not attract dirt and other impurities so go for it. it'l just make ur skin nicer!

Try finding some facial wash with micro beads it'll make your face tingle and feel cool when you get out of a hot shower and it stays smooth.
