ETC and krebs cycles are energy transfers within an organism.

In order for energyn and matter to be passed on from one organism to another, an organims must comsume the other organism.

In a simple food chain: energy from the sun is captured and converted to chemical energy by plants in a process called photosynthesis. An animal that eats the plant will obtain the molecules and the energy in the molecules that make up the plant.

If you are talking just about movement of matter, you have to get into the carbon cycle, nitrogen cycle, etc. etc.

Energy is in the form of chemical bonds, so you eat any molecules at all that can be used by your body, and that's movement of energy. Plants don't eat, so they get their energy from sunlight (absorbing photons when they hit molecules in the chloroplast and turning that energy into chemical bonds through photosynthesis). Molecules are passed by eating, drinking, and breathing. Few things are absorbed as well.
