Here's the situation. There's this girl I know; I talk to her and stuff but we're not exactly friends anymore. Her mom (who's a teacher; she was my second grade teacher), has a very bad case of cancer and doesn't have much longer to live. Today, this made me cry. My mom wants me to give this girl some type of sympathy card, but, what am I suspossed to write?! I don't know how she'll take it. I feel pressured and confused. Please help!

Don't send a sympathy card until there is a death . Send an encouragement card . From the heart .

i would wait on the sympathy card right now, and instead when she is walking along go up to her walk along with her and say i know your going through a rough time i am here always if you need to talk ok? i think thats much better than a card.

Dear Friend,

I heard about your mom, and wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you during this very hard time.

(Here, insert a memory you have of second grade and her mom).

Love and prayers,
