There could be any number of reasons. Perhaps your Mom noticed a discharge or bleeding?? Did you complain of itching, pain?? Was there suspicion of abuse? Did you incur an injury?? A check for any structural anomalies which could become a problem as you approached puberty and menstruation. Ask your parents or your current doctor why this exam was necessary. Look up the doc who did the exam and ask him; get copies of your medical records.
Good luck! I hope the information you find will ease your mind.

At 7 years old there shouldnt be any reason for a doctor or anyone else to be feeling around in your vagina, unless something happened like you had been molested or sexually abused in some way. Was you mom or someone with you? Maybe you should talk to her about it.

I am not a nurse or doctor, but did you say you are 71? Im sure like everyone young and old they need to know everything,, and i mean everything,, about you your condition, And if you are 7 same thing, everything isn't sexuaul unless you feel it is,,, did they have a nurse with them #1 have a nurse, no reason for them not too, if they don't have anurse or family member with you, yes i would say something is amiss

Sweetie, often times they check for "abuse".It is to check if you are being and/or have been sexually abused. It isnt to "invade" you, although it may feel that way.Possibly they were checking for a sign of infection or where your illness was coming from.If there wasnt a nurse,or parent present then that is not acceptable behavior.Doctors are professionals, and the biggest part of them keep it that way, however,if you feel it was inappropriate or it wasnt part of the examination,or that it wasnt necessary then you need to say something.Especially if you were alone with males.Good luck hun,and have a good evening.

why would someone examine you at the age of 7? that's pretty young, maybe your parents were worried about something. or it was just a checkup. maybe they were just looking at the inner side of your thighs and not your vagina?
