I live in Minnesota (don't know if that really matters for this question, but just in case you need to know for regulations or something on research), and I need to get my water purified! I am spending about $37/month for 1 gallon jugs of drinking water. My shower ( i have 3 full baths), toilets, and sinks get yellow with rust stains . My laundry turns yellow, even when I use bleach! What kind of purification system can I get that will filter my whole house and give me an under-the-sink drinking water system? I prefer something that is going to actually work and save me money. Does anyone know of anything? Thanks!

I use a whole-house water purifier. It's initially expensive, but lasts for a long, long time once it's installed, and is set up to automatically clean itself with a weekly backflush. It does a terrific job of making well-water sparkling clean and very drinkable. One similar to mine can be seen at the below link. Good luck.
