At Unforgiven 2002, World Heavyweight Champion Triple H took his long time hero Ric Flair on as his manager. Shortly there after Batista joined RAW from SmackDown! and took Flair on as his manager. When Triple H began his feud with Scott Steiner in January/February 2003, Batista came to his aid along with Randy Orton. The group called itself Evolution, as in "the Evolution of this business." Each of the members represented the best in 'the past' (Ric Flair), 'the present' (Triple H), and 'the future' (Randy Orton and Batista) of professional wrestling. The stable got off to a rocky start as Batista and Orton were injured in a match. Several months later, Orton rejoined the group followed by Batista who came to the aid of Triple H during his feud with Bill Goldberg.

I have no idea who betrayed who but i will add more details later

They turned on Randy Orton first because he had the title and wouldn't "give" it to HHH.
Then Batista turned on HHH & Ric Flair after he overheard them talking (Batista had won a title shot) saying stuff like Batista isn't smart enough to know what the right thing to do is (Batista uses the thumbs up/thumbs down before he does his finisher).
HHH then turned on Flair.
Now they are no more, except Flair & HHH are doing the respect angle.

randy orton beat chris benoit at summerslam to win the world heavyweight title, triple h got mad, he fired him and beat him at unforgiven to win back the title. in 2005, batista won the royal rumble, he was about to go to smackdown to challenge jbl for the wwe title, but he gave triple h a thumbs down and powerbombed him through a table and said he was staying on raw. so he officially quit evolution. then at homecoming, triple h turned on ric flair after their tag team match, and that was the end of evolution.

well batista won the royal rumble and won the oppurtunity to challenge HHH for the gold so they gave him the choice of fighting HHH or leaving the brand well he decided he wanted the title shot when HHH and Flair strongly suggested he leave. then at the signing it looked like he was going to leave then he did the thumbs down thing and beat up HHH and Flair. then he won his title

Evolution turned their backs on Randy Orton. But after that, I think the writers just disbanded them.

Orton won the gold, so HHH got pissed, and they dropped him first.
