Because it makes them feel better about themselves. If they judge you, then it takes the focus off of them. Don't let it bother you. They are also probably closed minded and refuse to see change in society.

It really is the human nature nowadays to judge you by your actions. But the first thing they look at to judge you is your looks.

Mostly its just to fill up their time, you know, gossiping can be fun if you're the one talking about others. I understand how you feel because i have had friends who betrayed me, friends who act nicely in front of me, friends that have risked their future for me and friends that mostly don't care about others.

All this is common in this modern society you are living in. Perhaps there are worse to come, but don't worry. Someday you will find some friends that really understand and respect you.

The main thing is for you to be yourself. Why change the way you look or act just to be accepted by others? If they do not respect you the way you are, then just forget about them. They most probably would not play any important role(s) in your life. Anyway if you do change yourself, you are just lying to yourself. If others accept you once you changed, wouldn't that mean they only like your looks?

Just bare with it. Be mentally prepared. It helps a lot.

I'm sorry, and this may hurt your feelings, but people in this world are completely cruel, especially kids. I've been made fun of because I'm short and skinny, and I'm still being rumored about and made fun of constantly. Here's my advice to you: find people who are interested in what you like and hang out with 'em a lot and you'll probably soon become friends. Form a group of friends who have good intentions (i.e. don't do drugs, don't swear (cuss), etc.), and if you ever are picked on a lot, go to your friends. They've always got your back. Choose your friends wisely, too. Pray to the Lord every day, and if not soon, someday, he'll fufill your wish. I wish you the best of luck.

Unfortunately its human nature and we all do it at one time or another. I am sure we all have been guilty of pre-judging people in some form or another even when we're not intending to. I would say hold your head up - you know who you are inside and thats all that matters. Think about it - someone that doesnt want to bother to get to know you as a person before slapping some label on you is NOT WORTH IT. Surround yourself with people like you or that know and love you. Pretty soon you wont give a crap what people think.

Judgements aren't always bad things. If A LOT of people respond to your behavior with negative reactions, there could be something wrong w the way you're acting.

As for judging how others' look: If someone sports a Nazi swastika tatoo, they will find me treating them differently than others. But someone doesn't deserve to be judged based on something they can't change, like the color of their skin.

To categorize is a natural human reaction. To make value judgements (like/dislike, right/wrong) about people based on looks, politics, accent and little else is that natural reaction in the extreme. Some people judge in order to make themselves feel more secure. That is, by calling your "wrong" in some way they bolster their own position/choices. Ignore it, that's generally the best way to handle it when other people try to weigh you down with their value judgements.

There is an old saying that says old sayings get old by being true most of the time. So if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck why should someone check to see if it's a swan? Just because it is??

People judge because they are very small minded and dont understand the meaning of equality . they feel that everyone should go by certain standards mainly their standards . But of course if it was them who was in your shoes or anyone elses they would want everyone to approve of their way of life.

My best advice too you is live your life to the fullest and dont worry about what negative ppl have to say ..

The Bible says that we Christians are NOT suppose to judge those outside the church, but those who claim to be Christian, but continue to live in sin. So it really depends.

But also be clear on what you mean by "judge". Do you mean to judge what is right or what is wrong? Or condemnation? One is needed every day, the other is strictly forbidden.

Trust me, gays are not the ONLY ones being judged on a daily basis.

people like to pass judgment on others when they feel scared or unsure of someone that does not conform to their ideal of normal. These are the same type of people that like to stereotype and degrade not just a person but entire races, religions, lifestyles, etc. These types can only thrive if you react to them ignore them and they will give up and go away.
