How can I get a recording artist to buy my song?

Usually you have to get a recording company to buy your song, then they will shop it to the artists that they have under contract. Make sure that you get it copywrited though, since without that they can say that they wrote the song. But to get it to record companies you can go two ways, either get it recorded and mail the tapes out or get an agent.
