As a Canadian I believe we need to bring the troups home now, as it is not our war, but it's Iraq's! No matter which side we come from it shouldn't be fought with either the Americans or Canadians on there turf, let them figure it out. I too am not ready to make nice, either! I think it was a valid statement and I believe in all the power of change!

OMG!! I LOVE THE DIXIE CHICKS! AND I THINK THAT THEY HAD EVERY RIGHT TO SAY WHAT THEY SAID OUT THERE.

Dixie Chicks made sort of odd weird comment that was not serious criticism or debate and just back fired. They were so used to people blowing them kisses that they forgot their fans included lot of conservatives who now see them as liberal nut. They didn't do anything wrong really other than they were not smart about entering this political debate in public which can include lot of crazy nuts who won't tolerate anything that oppose their views. Dixie Chick comment was perfect bate for red state hee haws who like guns and Confederate flags.

The Dixie Chicks have the right to give their opinion, but when they do that, they shouldn't complain about the people who disagree with them. That goes with the territory.
As for the war, we went in and took out Iraq's government (a vicious one, to be sure), so it would be unfair and irresponsible to leave without making sure they are re-stabilized.

I wish singers and actors would stick to singing and acting and keep their opinions to themselves and to people who care. I really don't care what the Dixie Chicks' political views are.
