I'm from the USA, and working in Iraq now. I've been in the Middle East for 3 years now. Met lots of people from other countries. I feel that Americans are the most patriotic than any other nation. The people I've met and talked with were from Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Ethiopia, Philippines, Thailand, England, South Africa, Scotland, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Panama, and of course, the US. Most of them weren't very patriotic, but just trying to earn some money. Where as almost 100% of the Americans I've talked to here are extremely patriotic. Most of the "down home country folk" back in the US are very patriotic as well. Best of luck to you.

I'm from the US. I think this is an interesting question in part because our democracy almost expects citizens to complain and dwell on things they dislike about the US. That said I think very few Americans would trade with anybody else. Also, I think most tend to defend US lifestyle, customs if they are under attack by "outsiders". I don't know that that makes us more or less patriotic than other citizens. Remember there are a lot of countries where patriotism isn't a choice! It's hard to judge.

Americans appear more verbally patriotic. Not sure why though.
I don't think overall Americans can be considered more or less patriotic than any other nationality - the only way would be to slander another's country to see whether (and how quickly) they rise to defend their country. I would guess that most nationalities would have sense patriotism that if provoke, would rise to the fore.

I am Australian. Not constantly proclaiming Australia "Number 1" or stating it's the best country on earth though I do believe it is.

I think most Americans seem on the surface to not be patriotic at all...but let someone insult the U.S. and we are the quickest to fight. I think most Americans just believe there is no greater place in the world.....and wrongly believed until 9/11 that everyone else in the world accepted that notion too. I'm American and my wife is from oversees.....boy we have had some arguments. She thinks we are all brainwashed by the media.....there is definitely truth to that....but anyway, Americans are probably the most passionate about their country...they just don't realize it until someone questions it.

I think Americans are very patriotic. I don't know that they are any more patriotic than French, English, Swedish or Dutch, but we are very patriotic.

Look how many are dying in Iraq because the country wants them to! That's simple enough!

in my opinion, people not often ever think of for themselves. They, or somewhat we, purely comply with each thing we pay attention. even with the shown fact that an excellent variety of people have flags in front of their properties and maximum colleges have American flags in each classification, that could be a extraordinary variety of fascist patriotism. in case you disagree with the government, you're considered a traitor. And maximum people are actually not extremely patriotic, that is extra for teach. different countries tend to have little of those cloth issues, yet nevertheless extra of the particular patriotism.

I think we are patriotic when we need to be like on the fourth of July, when people bomb a port or when some Arab fanatic blows something up. Then we will kick their a** and anyone around him. We are not big on running around shooting guns in the air, dancing and chanting in the streets like some of the freakish third world countries I see on CNN.
