I believe that love does need room to breathe. If a couple can't handle time apart, for whatever reason, I don't believe that it's love at all.

I think so. Even the best fires need oxygen to keep them going. Just no too much room, so the flame doesn't get blown out. Just a goofy little analogy.

yes, i think without it, people can sometimes lose their own sense of identity in a relationship and begin to resent the other person. at least that is what i've seen happen to people. everyone needs a little space, even those in love.
