because us girls are constantly wanting compliments because most of them are so full of them selves. as a girl, i can tell you one thing, if a girl says shes fat and shes obvisouly not, do not argue with her. just nod it away. because she just wants to hear that shes skinny because its like she doesnt get enough compliments as it is..its selfish and concided. i hate girls like that. they all need a slap in the face if you ask me.

The vast majority of the girls who ask that question are teenies, and in time you will learn that there are very few things in this world dumber and more self-centered than a teenage girl. All they care about is their looks, and how they measure up. They should be concentrating more on life skills and studying, but most of the ones who worry about looking fat are the same ones who will just get married early so as to avoid earning a living.

Girls are influenced with "weight" ever since they are little; there is too much put on "looks" and I think when someone asks "do I look fat or how do I look?" its actually a way of obtaining reassurance from someone they have a lot of trust in.

the girls that ask this are the self concious ones who are looking for a compliment. girls know if they are fat, or they arent fat. When they ask this, they just like hearing a guy say "no you look great" to boost their self esteem.

That is not true, girls do not always ask if they look fat..... And if they do it means that they are insecure somewhat about their body, and I beleive that they should feel confident about there body type or else they should do something about it and also the boyfriend should be honest and truthful and tell them, "Hey, you are getting a little big, you should watch what you eat please," or, "You are skinny and dont be so insecure about yourself..... This is the exelency advice that would probally be best for you, Yourwelcome and Thanx for asking the question!

Because sometimes we actually want to know. Unfortunately if it is someone that you love, your image is slightly distorted anyway. And sometimes it is just because we want to yell at you and take our frustrations out on you, and this is the surest way to do it..LOL
