Bleach is so bad for you, don't use it to clean your stained nails! It's corrosive and an irritant. Not good for your cuticles... I don't know why people would even think to suggest that. Sure it might make them less yellow but at the same time will do no good for your skin. Use a nail buffer, quit smoking and let them grow out non yellow.

Try rubbing heavy hand or foot creme onto your fingers then use a body or face scrub and follow by moisturizing with oil. When I used to smoke I once set one of my artificial nails on fire and only realized it by the smell!!

Toothpaste, lemon juice, or chlorine bleach in water. Sometimes hydrogen peroxide will do it and also Oxy and Woolite spray in the laudry section.

this used to happen to my acrylics.
i always got a french, but the stain would be so bad. you can remove it with nail polish remover, but you'll have to reapply the polish.
if you are talking about your real nails, try putting clear coat on to prevent this from happening

washing up a liquid works wonders for me my dad soaks his fingers in bleach and my friend files her fingers with a 3way nail file and my neighbour she just paints them!!!
