I painted my nails black cuz i saw in teen people and 17 magazine that its in style. Do you think people at school will think its emo though?

If black nail polish went with my outfits and the way i dress i would wear it to school.
TIP: Don't pay attention to what other people think. Emo's just a style and they can't say that black nail polish is emo. It's just like people saying that ur preppy, when you act nothing even close to being preppy, u just like to wear nice clothes from hollister or abercrombie & Fitch

I also saw that black nail polish is in style in the same magazines as mentioned. It might look emo if you wear it with a band shirt or black/punk clothing. But I painted my nails black also, wearing a classy/vintagey black dress with a red belt. People actually complimented my nails and said they actually look cute and girly paired with the outfit. So, my point is is that it usually matters what you wear with the nail polish.

It depends on how you dress but... if you are not emo then what does it matter if someone else thinks you are. If you want to where black nail polish wear it otherwise don't. I have tons of friends that wear black nail polish because of the way they feel or something.

It doesnt always mean you are emo! Some ppl in my school wear black nail polish and they are not considered emo!!!!!! Its just a way of expressing who you are and what you are feeling that day!!!!!

well had the same problem. just because i dressed like an emo doesn't mean i'm emo. and yes black nail polish is in style. i love it.
If nobody thinks i'm emo then the people at school won't think your emo.

no. emo isn't how you dress(or paint your nails) it is more of an over dramatic lifestyle. no offense to anyone. I paint my nails black all the time and i'm not emo

Not really, it's an essential part of any evil halloween costume and it's been back in fashion recently. Keep on wearing black nail polish if you like it!

well...i did, and the people at my school are just stupid.
so, of course they all think its an emo thing.
-but its not. its actually fine. if your an emo person, it fits, though.
but its fine if your not, because its not only for emo people you know? but as far as the people at school...the people in my school got the emo impression. ...or at least punk.
