In the gay section? Is that your american freedom of expression that your brave soldiers go kill other people for? For the country with "in god we trust" on their dollar bills? why don't you put "in gays we trust" instead, if one can't even talk about god with gays?

I don't think that it is actually okay to delete someone simply for the reason you have stated, However, I don't think that harassment should be allowed so perhaps you should look at what you have written in the past. Since I have not read anything you wrote I can not judge. NOW, with that said, I don't believe in "ex-gay". That is just ridiculous! I am guessing that even with you prayer and "support" that you STILL are experiencing some attraction to your own sex. Be honest! Yes, you can chose to ignore/fight these feelings if you wish... but you are still going to be the way GOD made you at the end of the day. If you chose NOT to act on these feelings then that is fine and I will gladly line up to be one of the first to support you. As long as you are HONEST and don't try to tell me how to live my life. I equate this with the people feel guilty about drinking and get angry when others chose to drink a cola or lemonaide instead of something alchoholic. You have made YOUR choice and I hope, sincerely, that it works out for you. But as a licensed counselor I know for certain exactly who is lying to you. And it is NOT the gay community. Did you know that suicide rates go way up in the so-called "ex-gay" community? Because these programs LIE. The state they are a "cure" and they are not. They simply teach you how to behave differently. Just like quitting any annoying habit.
I'd also like you to question your Bible translation. Could it be flawed? The only way to know is to do some research for yourself. Don't be a sheep and be lead astray by someone elses interp. Look it up for yourself. An excellent source is "What the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality" by Daniel A. Helminiak. He gets into the faulty translations of most english Bibles.
Best of luck! and I hope you make your peace before you fool yourself, get married, have kids, and then realize you were lied to. That is a MESS when that happens. Final note: Did you know that the guy who founded "Exodus International", the first (as far as I know) "cure" program for gays, finally realized that he was fighting his nature and how God himself created him and he now runs programs for Ex-ex-gays to try and treat them for the damage that his original program (and others like it) have done to these innocent people? I am surprized that there have been few lawsuits on this. Anyway, I wish you all the luck, you shall be in my prayers, and I think you should be welcome as long as you don't spew filth about how others are living their lives all wrong. It works for you but maybe not for others and you have NO right to say otherwise. (and I am sure you shall find me to be guilty of same here. How does it feel to be told you are living your life all wrong?)

Why don't you post your question in the religion section? The only reason most ex-gays post here is to harrass and be nasty to gay people. And yes it is a choice. It's a choice between being miserable married to someone you don't love and will never enjoy having sex with. Or being celibate for the rest of your life. Or having a fulfilled life and being with the person you love no matter the gender. If gays and lesbians were to talk about how horrible the ex gay movement is I'm sure you would be right at the top of the line, trying to get the account deleted.
I believe for the people who want it, the ex gay movement serves its purpose. But you don't need to antagonize.

Ah, so quick to play the martyr card I see, so persecuted.
It couldn't have anything to do with the constant level of overt harassment we receive here by so called "Christians" could it? Regardless, proselytizing should be saved for the religion and spirituality section, if allowed at all. Frankly this is about questions and answers, not saving souls or providing "testimony" especially considering how many times such ex-gay claims have proven to be nothing more than disingenuous deceptions if not outright lies, not a discussion and last but yet most importantly, this site is owned by YAHOO, not the American Federal Government, and as such they have every right, not to mention the responsibility, to censor and/or protect their site with appropriate rules and codes of conduct. If you cannot abide by those rules your posts are removed, it's that simple.

As far as your ex-gay movement goes...sorry, too many of us already know the truth and are not deceived.
Sorry, most of us accept and enjoy our lives just as they are.

So-called "ex gays" have a strong tendency to not be able to discuss religion without being insulting, degrading and offensive to others.
And while 'freedom of expression' means they can't be hassled by the government for speaking in that manner, it does not prevent a business (such as yahoo) from saying "We don't want to carry that kind of message through our service."

Freedom of expression is fine, straight-out nastiness is a waste of time...yours and especially ours.

Ex Gay?...you take a dip in the rainbow-pool???

"Normal nowadays"? You act as if this site has been around for generations or even years. How often has such a question, answer been deleted? You're generalizing with enough support.
