They were probably lots of inventions popping up, or maybe silver came.

Mainly rebuilding everything that Gehngas had destroyed.
Gehngas burned all the forrests ,killed everybody and made mountains of the skulls,he filled all the wells with sand to make sure that life would not return easily

Kublaih was very cultured he made Parea Daizas ,which means walled gardens ,some of these were more than 50 square kilometres ,with forrests for hunting ,palaces and food gardens ,
our word for Paradise came from these gardens.
Kublai also traded way beyond his borders ,one of his visitors was Marco Polo the Italien Free mason,and his court was full of Foreigners
