There were many different events and matches. Was there a specific reading assignment you had?
Men were forced to fight tigers, lions and all sorts of animals. They also fought each other. Gladiators were slaves that were forced to fight to the death. If they survived long enough they might be granted their freedom. They also did reinactments of famous battles of Roman history such as battles against the moors or germania and pre-roman wars such as famous battle the greeks fought with persia.
Christians were also fed to lions in the collesseum.
but it seems "Describe the event or match" must refer to another question in your homework assignment or a paticular match your teacher told you about or told you to read about. There was not one single type of match at the collesuem.
The main floor could also be flooded and ships brought in to reinact sea battles.

Look up something on gladiators fighting or people being fed to lions. Then describe it in your own words.

adolf hitler because he was an important yet evil man in world history. also, what he had done had changed the world and the whole world was involved in his scheme. explain all the things he done, his opinions, his riots, and talk a little bit about the holocaust. it would be interesting and a fascinating topic. i know when i read my students' paper about WW2, i always give a good grade with all the new things i learn each time. theres a lot of adolf hitler and the times of the holocaust + WW2. im a history teacher teaching juniors.

Similar to a cage match in wrestling, except the guys in the ring had weapons, the winners get to fight next week, the losers are dead.
