Gastroliths are the polished stones that once resided in dinosaur gullets. Dinosaurs swallowed rough stones to help them grind their food much like modern birds do today. Once the stones were smooth and shiny, they no longer helped and the dinosaurs expelled them as part of their feces and swallowed more. For fans of Jurassic Park, the sick triceratops swallowed the berries that made her sick because she was gathering stones to help her digest her food. This was done primarily by veggiesaurs because plant fiber is hard to digest.

A dinosour is a candy. A gastrolith is not a dinosaur. It is a stone or pebble swallowed by an animal to grind food. Are you doing a project on dinosaur digestive tracts?
