What format does my ringtones need to be?????

i got the usb data cable for nextel and i downloaded a software to put ringtones on my phone for free i just need one thing...

it says an error has occured an mp3 format will not be accepted..


so i need a mp3 to ?? converter


thats where u come into play what format is it??????????





**i also downloaded a program to make my songs just the 1-30 second part i want,,,so dont say u also need to download that....







BASICLLY WHAT DO I NEED TO CONVERT MY MP3 RINGTONES TO???????

First of all, you don't say what programs you use. I'm assuming it's the one I use, which means that there should be no problems downloading mp3 format, and to top it off you don't put what phone model you have, and you're also telling us "don't tell me it's this" so what kind of answers are you fishing for? .wav format is the best for nextel phones because they don't mess up the speakers and you get a cleaner sound because their phones are crap, .wav format is the best format, trust me.

What kind of cell phone do you have? When you know what it can play then you know what kind of converter you need. It could be .wav .wma .mp3 .mp4 .midi and tons of others http://www.dbpoweramp.com/ This one should be able to do it all

Try changing the ".mp3" in the file name to ".3gp". That worked for my phone! :)
