When i was 14 i was hit by a car and i was fighting for my life in hospital. I had a clot removed from my brain,a hole in the back of my Skull,Trackie to my neck to keep me alive,in a comer for 3 weeks,on a life support machine. Surgeons said i had 1% chance of living. I had problems with my ribs and still get pain there today.

My parents at the time when i was in hospital went to see a Solicitor and he did it "No win no Fee" The first offer the Insurance company offered was £15,000 then the second was £22,500 My solicitor said it was best to accept it as i could of been offered less the 3rd time around. What i went through i am lucky im still here today 7yrs on. My memory loss has got alot worse since and i am getting all kinds of things happen to me.

Now i have accepted the perfetic money aint there nothing i can do about it ? i should of been offered more than that. The offer was just stupid. I was 14 at the time so i did not have any say.

anyone got some advice ?

Was this an " out of court settlement ? " if so then your parent`s would of signed a form when the offer was accepted that the offer was final !
if this is the case ( i can almost guarantee that it is ) then there is not a lot you can do i`m afraid !
You could try contacting another solicitor and explain your "new symptom`s" your first consultation should be free tell them your story they will get advisement on it ( 7 year`s is normally out of the time frame )
But you might find someone who will take on your case , but be aware that if you are successful it will again take many year`s to reach a decision again and if you use a " no win no fee " solicitor be very careful as they will take a substantial amount of money at the end of it and get you to sign load`s of insurance form`s ( read everything twice , just because a solicitor recommend`s it to you doesn't mean it is OK )
( I know of a lady awarded £47,000 and ended up with £15,000) if she had use a normal solicitor it would of been approx £6,000 !
Just be very careful if you are lucky to find someone to take on your case .....
GOOD LUCK .

I sympathise with your situation, but your parents acted to quickly, they had three years from injury to claim, and because of your injuries any solicitor should have forseen a definitive prognosis from your consultant once you had recovered. Your problem is two fold, you have to prove the causation between your original injury and the problems you have now, its not as simple as it sounds since as the body changes, this can arise from these changes.

You may be able to litigate, do you still have the money or part of it to fund it properly? Thats the question, your settlement would have been for the injury at that time, if perhaps other things happened which were reasonable forseeable by your consultant you may..get expert advice, i'd be prepared to find a PI solicitor with a minimum of 10 years experience in these type of accidents.

If you have accepted an offer then have not received the cash, get on to your lawyer/solicitor and let them know.
You probably would have been offered more or had it gone to court you would without a doubt been able to have more awarded.
The 'no win no fee' guys are reasonably good at what they do BUT they want to get the cases sorted as soon as possible because it means they can get on to another case quickly.
I would suggest going to your local citizens advice office and explaining the situation to them.

You MAY be able to retract the acceptance as the company hasn't actually paid out.

Good Luck!

You're solicitor did a bad job for compensation...he did not really act well on behalf of his client. I had a friend who fell down a flight of stairs which gave way due to neglect...he received 750,000 pounds plus a pension for life as his foot was damaged in the fall. You need to take this matter to the CAB, explain to them the problems you are still having from the accident 7yrs ago...you will prevail if you persist with the matter...see if you are entitled to Legal Aid.
