Yes. I have the Hi-Bebe BT 200 from amazon.com and I could hear the baby at 15 weeks. It says you can hear the baby as early as 12 weeks, but I didn't get it until 15 weeks. It's great to have when you think something might be wrong. It has eased my fears a few times. Plus, you can always resale it on ebay for almost what you bought it for. Good Luck!

Is it the heart beat or the placenta you are hearing?

The placenta has a sound such as heart beat. When the doctor goes to find the baby heart beat, you will her the doctor say oh that's the placenta. Witch is close to the baby's heart be or the same speed. So you never know what your hearing. You may be able to hear more sounds as in body sounds due to baby moving around.

I would say not to waste the money.

good luck~~

They are not really reliable as sometimes you may be listening to the gastronomics of your stomachs intead of the heartbeats. Alot of mothers had pnaicked when they don't hear their baby's heartbeat and rushed to the hospital. It's a waste of anxieties. Tape the ones you hear at your doc's office so you can listen to it at home. Congrats!

There are ones you can rent that are just like the ones Dr's use and they are great. Don't waste your money on the ones you can get at the baby stores.
