on your mail toolbar, there should be a button for "mark as spam" Select the masage and click that button, and then the sender won't be able to send a message to you again.

It can depend on which email provider you use but there are ways of cutting down on it.

If you use Yahoo! (as I'm presuming you do considering you have a Y!A account) then you can mark the email as spam. It will then be handled by Customer Service and handled from there.

If you use Hotmail you can tag the email as "Junk email" under the tabs at the top of all messages. A report will then be sent to MSN's Customer Service and will be handled as well.

GMail, AOL and others probably have similar services for reporting spam (I don't have much experience with GMaail and the other ones), just make sure your complaints actually get to someone in the system instead of automatically being processed and never actually being looked at.

Under many services there's also ways you can block a sender, I know AOL has this option along with others.

What I found out is that if it goes directly to your bulk folder you should move it to the folder were your regular email comes in and then mark it as spam then it will block the email address that send you that. If you are getting the spam directly to your regular folder just mark it as spam.

Let me know when you find out.

I was using Spam Assissin and getting like 300 spam per day and I turned it up so high I got NOTHING at all and lost contact with lots of people as a result of it.

check in the options area while you are logged in. There should be a place to adjust the filter for your junk/spam mail. Change it to high. Most accounts have a "safe" list you can add everyone you know to to make sure their emails don't get funneled into the junk box.

Use spam filters, do not post your address online; use an image instead.
