My Dad listened to The Cure all the time when I was little, and now they are one of my favourite bands, now he just likes techno. My Mum likes Talking Heads, B-52's, kd lang, David Bowie, Split Enz, The Smiths, Tears for Fears, Madness, Adam & the Ants, The Cult, The Divinyls, The Rolling Stones, ABBA... all of which (except ABBA, yeuch!) I like and listen to all the time. She used to have great taste, nowadays she's into crappy contemporary pop though - shame, shame, shame!

LOL....OMG ..I'm just reading what "beck" typed and it's amazing that her parents are obviously 80's generation....She must be young!
It's really a trip when you hear even the next generation after mine likes their parent's music who were just one generation before me.....

Anyway, my parents liked 60's and 70's hippy music/rock/progressive rock.

I LOVE almost everything my parents were into back then.
But my dad is more into old standard music and jazz now in his old age...

surprisingly, my mom was the one who introduced me to metallica and pink floyd. she still likes it if it comes on the radio and stuff, but she won't just put it on. i stole all my mom's old pink floyd cds. my dad, i have no idea. he liked oldies. haha
