If you check with MapQuest: From Downtown NYC to Downtown Montreal it is 371.76 miles and should take you about 6 hours, 15 minutes.
I live in Montreal and have been to NYC many times by car...and it does make sense it about the time it takes.

Why people (the above) answer who have absolutely no idea is beyond my comprehension. The distance is a little over 220 miles and the drive is about 5hrs unless the border crossing is extremely backed up.

PS. Perhaps Crazy Cate and Calla have confused kilometres with miles.

PPS: And Bella must not like mountain scenery.

From central NJ, it took us close to 7 hours to get there...needless to say, we NEVER drove there again! It's only a little over an hour plane ride from Newark. Well worth it. It is the MOST boring ride ever!
