SHAWN has 14 years of computer experience - and hes just now stufying for his A+ exam.
His answers are lame.
Yes very possible.
But know thats one of those expenses that comes with surrounding components that will put you easily over 1000
Your best best would be to customize a laptop with HP, Dell, or even Alienware if you have the money. Alienware seems to have the best video cards out there for laptops
But HP and Dell and others allow you to customize, and if youre planning to game, then Id suggest focus on the main 3 RAM, VIDEO RAM and CPU which is not as imporant as the 2 rams, but you stil want a decent CPU
Everything else can be added on fairly inexpensively.
Also by doing the customize thing you can usually save 250 bucks by keeping a good eye out for special rebates that each company offers.
Hope it helps
Oh and when you go to purchase it -- if you go somewhere like best buy or circuit city, and they tell you that you need a warranty service plan, because the manufacturer wont cover electrical damage -- tell them to shove that statement up their butt.
For 1 year you are covered even against a power surge.
But best is to get one of those 11 dolalr notebook power supplies.
hope it helps
watch out for sales people.
they make their most profit margin on seeling you accessories at time of the laptop purchase
and extremely high markups on service plans at time of sales..and thats all you are to them.

I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 with one of the GeForce Go 7900 cards...it plays Battlefield 2 on the highest video settings without a stutter....better than my desktop with a ATI Radeon 9800 pro.
