I am cleaning the bathroom and in the sink is white porcelain. Around the faucet it's yellow and looks "burnt" - I'm thinking it's lime or mildew or something from the water?
How do I get rid of it? I am trying Clorax with bleach (and scrubbing with a scrubber) as well as other items that say they are for soap, mildew scum, etc....but nothing seems to be working.
What about plain ole' bleach??
OR
I am also gonna scrub down the shower/bath which isn't as bad, but still has some "water" stains that are from the water faucet.
Any suggestions, ideas would help!
Thank you!

On top of the scrubbers, I am also using the Scotch Brite Easy Erasing Pads, which are like the Mr. Clean (I love those too!) and even THESE don't seem to help! :\

Limeaway or white vinegar for the hard water build up. Bleach won't work for that.

If the stain is from mold or mildew, you may want to try something like let the bleach sit a while before you scrub it out. If it's from mineral deposits, try CLR.
Now, you might try Oxyclean: I've used that on a variety of very stubborn stains, and it does work. Or you might even try a combination of vinegar and baking soda: I use that to clear and sweeten my kitchen drains, and I use baking soda instead of scrubbing powders such as Comet in many situations.
Good luck!

I just cleaned all this gunk from around my kitchen faucets with a screwdriver, then scrubbed it with Zud. Sparkling clean! Just make a paste of the Zud and let it sit there a few minutes. It will take the stains right out.

To clean my bathroom, I mix 1/3 cup liquid laundry detergent, 1cup vinegar in a 32 oz. spray bottle and fill the rest of the way with water. I sprinkle baking soda first then spray with the mixture and scrub. It works great!!!!

I used to just pour straight bleach into the sink and it would make it white temporarily but the water is causing it. Try Magic Eraser.

i had impossible stains in my toilet. no amount of scrubbing with any cleaner helped, until i found a professional toilet bowl cleaner at the hardware store containing 23% hydrochloric acid. give that a try, i bet it will take the stains off the porcelain. but don't mix with any other chemicals.

It sounds like rust deposits. Try Lysol toilet bowl cleaner. Rinse it off right away or you will harm the metal faucets. Use plastic gloves, it burns your hands .
