Call the doctor now. I called at around 5 weeks, but the doctor didn't want to see me between 8 to 12 weeks along. I went in at 12 weeks (the previous month was the first month of school and teaching Kindergarteners it was hard to take off a day any earlier.) At my OBGYN, it's almost impossible to get an appointment so I would make the appointment now. Good luck :) Your doctor may have different opinions than mine though, some want to see you earlier on, others want to wait for at least two missed periods before they see you. Just go buy some Prenatal Vitamins till then or even just some folic acid if you can't get your hands on prenatals. Good luck and congratuations!!!

call now because usually it will take a few weeks to get in and you want to be seen by 13 weeks for sure. For each of my pregnancies I saw my midwife by 7 weeks (after getting the pregnancy confirmed by the lab around 3 1/2- 4 weeks) and then every 4 weeks after that until the last trimester when I saw her every 2 weeks and then the last month when it was every week.
Also, not to be a negative nelly - but having experienced this several times myself, if you were to miscarry you'll want documentation that the pregnancy did exist and to get care and all that.
Congrats!

Make an appointment right away. Then your doctor will most likely start scheduling you once a month until you get closer. You need prenatal vitamins now and other information, so go as soon as you can.

What's wrong with you, sistah? Go see the doctor asap. This is prenatal care. Usually it starts before pregnancy. It's the doc's job to make sure eveerything is ok. He can also start you immediately on prenatal vitamins whcih helps lessens the chance of birth defects. Congrats and good luck!

My Doctor doesn't see people until their 10 week because that is when you can hear the hart beat ,BUT he has his nurse see you as soon as you find out to keep a record of your blood pressure, weight etc prenatal care is very important, so I would say call the office tomorrow. Congrats!

Congratulations, first of all.
Make an appointment ASAP. They'll give you a blood test to be absolutely certain.
And they'll put you on the prenatal vitamins, which are huge, but definately essential.

Go now. Alot of pregnancy complications are noticed later in pregnancy, but aleast you will have previous visits to compare to. Also, the doctor should detail everything that you casn do and shouldn't do to protect your child. He will propably prescribe some pre-natal vitiams as well.

You should go as soon as possible. There are many different types of tests that you need to have done. And if something is wrong, they can get on top of it right away.
