why aren't drone trucks used in truck convoys in Iraq to set off booby traps?

they still have to be driven by humans.

a good idea may be to have some sort of device that hits the ground about 10-15 feet away from the vehicule and thus hopefully triggers the bomb at a far enough distance to not hurt people. it would be kind of like thoes tanks during WW2 that had spinning chains to set off mines in mine fields
