my boyfriend and I just broke up last Monday and I want to get my nose pierced just for something different and to help get my mind of him. Dont get me wrong, i think its cute but I dont want it to be something that I will regret doing later. At this point i dont think i will regret it later but i dont know because im not exactly thinking clearly since my boyfriend for over a year is no longer with me. Do you think I should get it done or am I doing it for all the wrong reasons?

Trust me don't do it because you will regret it. A nose peircing is looked down on by many people, and it especially bad to have when trying to find a job because people will view it as unprofessional. Your oviously trying to get rid of the pain or deal with your breaking up by doing this and trust me it will not work. You need to find a new boyfriend. and try and forget about the old one, just remember there is someone far better than him out there trust me. Remember love yourself you are # 1.

I don't think it's wrong at all. It's very typicall for wpoemn to do something drastic to themselves after getting out of a bad or serious relationship. (Once I cut off all my hair which was really long, just because I knew he hated short hair. I loved it!) Go for it. Besides, you can only do stuff like that while you're young. I can't because of where I work. (We can't have any facial piercings) Go ahead, I think it's for all the right reasons. All for you! BTW remember, piecings are temporary, tattoos and haircuts are permanent! And they aren't as trashy as they once were. And look, if you don't like it, you can always take it out. You have nothing to lose except for the money it will cost. Go for it!

NO! Don't do it, it will be painful and red for a while, and then in like a year or something you'll just want it out. Have you ever seen a thirty year old woman with a nose ring or stud or anything? When you are older you won't want it either. Why go through pain for something you'll only have in for a year or two?

In my opinion nose piercings are very trashy and send the wrong message. A nose piercing will also affect your chances of getting good employment. Think about the consequences.... then make your decision.

If you really have to pierce try the navel. It won't get infected as a nose will. Thank goodness you're not thinking about the tongue.

maybe you can try a new haircut or something, but something like a piercing might be a little much to suddenly do. Try to give it some thought first.
