Scolex is the head of the tapeworm. It hooks onto the intestine of cat or dog. The little segments joined together behind the scolex is called proglotiid.

scolex, usually they have hooks or suckers or a combination of the two. proglottids are the reproductive structures that contain both male and female reproductive structures.
