My sister wore my shoes without socks for several days and now they stink! She kept them for several months and I just got them back. I am embarrassed to wear them places because of it. Please help!

first put in a fabric dryer sheet like Bounce and then a layer of Arm and Hammer baking soda. Give it a good day or two. Then take out the fabric sheet and repeat with the A&H if the smell is still there. Lysol may also help if that does not work. Don't try maksing it with perfume or fabrize -- it will make it worst. Sometimes the inner sole can come out and you can wash that.

there are actually little packets or objects that you put in shoes to get the smell out. These are usually sold at sports stores and places like that because of their stinky feet! Hope this helps. A home remidy is baby powder, which usually works but might not be strong enough if the stink is HORRIBLE!!! Good Luck!

You can try a homemade remedy of baking soda. Take baking soda and just POUR it in. Toss the shoes in a plastic bag and let it fester for a bit (a day or two). Repeat a few times, or until it smells clean. If this doesn't work try going to the store and buying deorderizing shoe stuff. It might work.

Sometimes... the shoes are just ruined :(

If you can wash them do it...let them air dry in the sun. The sun kills bacteria. Also, the Body Shop makes a Peppermint Foot Spray that has tea tree oil in it. I use it about once a month on the kids shoes and it really helps too.

My friend and i had matching shoes that stunk SO much after we wore them out we had a whole system.

Take 2 knee high nylon socks and fill with baby powder and put in your shoes.

I would get a clean cloth and soap it lightly, and wash the insides. Try to dry with clean cloth and let air dry a few days. Then "swish" with some baby powder and baking soda -- let that sit in there a few days. That should make them fresh smelling! (That happened to me when my best friend wore my favorite black heels with no hosiery!)

Have two to three pair and rotate them. Put them in a dry place with good air circulation. If they are tennies, wash them regularly or buy new ones.

Wearing the right kind of socks and proper foot care, including your toenails will help you have sweet kissable footsies. BOL

I've never tried this BUT I just saw this on tv. Put each shoe in a separate plastic zip lock bag then put them in the freezer overnight.
I know it seems nasty to put stinky shoes in with your food but they're in bags and, well, that's what they said to do!
Good luck!

Put your shoes in the washer and dryer and they will smell brand new. If it keeps occuring, just make sure your feet are clean and put baby powder on them.
