If the a woman is not having a menstartion for about 7 mos., is it something abnormal?and what can she do about it?will it give her less chance to bear a child in the future?

Assuming you are not perimenopausal, and also assuming you're first period was more than a year ago (both situations often have irregular periods), you should be having regular monthly bleeding.

If you are not one of the above, hormonal imbalance is the most common cause for chronic or prolonged irregular periods.

Among possibilites is PCOD (polycysitc ovarian disease) and thyroid imbalances. Both are ruled out or confirmed with simple blood tests.

Yes, irregular periods do affect your ability to conceive. If you are not ovulating, you do not menstruate. However, most hormonal imbalances are easily treated.

sounds like menopause or premenopause, it is normal if u are in your late 30's or 40's or so on.
live a normal life is all u can do about it or u could go get drugs (harmones) from your doc which has side effects.
