yes it is usually 7-10 days. However it is possible for eye color to change any time within the first year. They may stay blue, but if you notice the shade of blue changing frequently, they probably will change at some point. My daughter managed to keep her blue eyes and she is three now, even though I have blue but her father has brown.

I dont honestly know...my daughter has had blue eyes since the day she was born and now 15 months later they are still blue and my nephew was born back in August and his eyes have already changed to brown as of a couple months ago...but i have heard of babies eyes not changing until they turn like two because i know more than likely soon my daughters eyes will change because me nor my hubby have blue eyes he has brown and i have green so.....i think that in some children it does take longer for their eyes to change to their true color

It sometimes takes a few months to change. You'll know the true eye color by 5-6 months usually. But my brothers changed from blue to gray when he was a teen. Sometimes odd things like that happen. :)

Eye color is an unpredictable thing. Some children's eyes change by between 3 months and 6 months, but other people's eyes change throughout their eyes so it is very hard to say.

My doctor told me my baby will have definite eye color at around 5 years old...but she meant the shade of the color, not the color itself...if you want to know what color your baby will have considering the parents' eye color, enter this site: http://museum.thetech.org/ugenetics/eyeCalc/eyecalculator.html

My son's eyes were a deep blue till he was a little over two..now they are a greenish color-like mine. What's funny is my husbands eyes are brown and mine are green-ish and brown is the dominant gene..but our son has my eyes. But his eyes didn't start to change till he was a little bit over two.

I am not sure but I do know that you can not really go by what the parents eye's are. I have dark brown and my husband has greenish brown and our middle child has the bluest eyes.
