Being Jewish means that one does not believe that Jesus was the savior that God had said would come. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus, son of God. Therefore, Jews do not celebrate his birth or Christmas.

Since Jews do not accept Christ as the son of God, then they would not celebrate Christmas. Hopefully they will enjoy seeing all the lights and decorations that their Christian neighbors put up , just as I would take pleasure in seeing any decorations put up for Hanukkah.

Observant Jews should not "celebrate Christmas", any more than Christians should observe Yom Kippur or Muslims should celebrate Easter!

Silly goose!

carefully-a true Jew, accepts the Jewish Messiah, therefore would celebrate his birth as well as Chanukkah-those that are not spiritually Jewish 'do not know the Messiah personally' would be still in the prophetic relm of Isaiah 52:13-53:12 "He is despised and rejected" to keep it lookin good it would seem he is just 'overlooked' claiming we are 'Jewish' we dont celebrate Christmas-yet He is our Jewish brother-and he lived a wonderfull life and taught true love-therefore just as a good president as Abe and George Washington-it would be appropriate to think of Yeshua/Jesus on this special day.

They should not have to. In the same way, Christians should not have to celebrate Hannukah; I apologize for any misspelling. However, each should respect the others views.
