Thirty. It's a nice round easily-remembered number.

I'll tell you from a young persons perspective. I just turned 18 and grew up around make-up artist. No age is to young to expirement with make up. But wearing it out on the daily at 12 you should only wear lip gloss, either clear or a sheer color. On special occasions maybe a less sheer color and some mascara and if your parents say ok eyeliner on your top lid. Once you hit high school then you can wear the more colorful lipglosses(but not too bright) and mascara on the daily because it's more acceptable to your peers at this age. Personally I didnt start really wearing make up til I was 14 lipgloss everyday and eyeliner and mascara on special occasions. At 17 I started to wear eyeshadow but only every so often and because I started modeling.
But remember make-up should be use to enhance your natural beauty. Wearing it to much and to often can make the skin age. Not to mention most boys dont like make up. And to much to soon will make people think that your "fast" and "trashy".

I started wearing makeup at 12, but I suggest not doing it because for some reason, you seem to become dependent on it.
Like if you're not wearing make-up, you may not feel comfortable.

Plus, if you start at a younger age, you may feel awkward being the only person wearing makeup.

So I suggest 15 or 16.

OK there is no medical reason for anyone of any age to wear make-up so I think you should wait until you absolutely must wear it. You should start though with simple pieces mascara, lip-gloss and a bit of eye shadow, then maybe blush, and in a few years foundation, start slow that way you can get used to it and if you don't like what your doing to yourself you can stop.

At whatever age your parents say its OK. Just remember that if its broke, dont fix it. If you have nice skin, DONT use a foundation. If you have naturaly full lips, you may not need lip liner, and so on. Start out with just a little lip gloss and maybe a touch of mascera. Typicaly anyone under 40 who is going out in the daytime doesnt need blush just for day to day makeup. Remember less is more and the more natural you look, the better.

You shouldn't wear make-up really. But, when you do go for a tinted mousturizer instead of a solid foundation. This won't irritate or clog your sensitive skin. A good age to begin wearig mak-up is when you are a freshman. Make-up is a big part of a high school girl's life.

I started doing a skin routine around your age. Besides wearing makeup, you have to know how to cleanse and take care of your skin. Like I said, I started about your age and I'm 51 now. People take me for about 35...

hold off as long as possible. makeup at your age will clog your pores and may damage your skin. beautiful skin cannot be bought. make up should be used to enhance your beauty and that comes from your skin first. if you insist on using makeup, wait until you are at least 16. start with some lip gloss and mascara. less is best. most guys prefer women who don't wear makeup or at least very little of it.
