is what i need to know is can i just sign off jobseekers. i am disabled and my current condition is getting worse.

I have been signing on since last summer. Where i am theres no jobs but they sent me on a training course now and i cant handle it.

If i cant handle this course have i got the right to opt out.

If you're too sick to work, you shouldn't be on jobseekers at all. Get down the doctors, get a note and apply for incapacity benefit.
You're gonna get a lot of stick for asking this. People won't beleive that you are really ill. The country is full of wasters trying to blag a free ride on the backs of tax payers. Its difficult when you're ill, people look at you with deep suspicion and take the greatest effort to try and make you feel worse. The genuinely ill are being stigmatised because of scroungers and druggies. good luck.

The law state`s that when you claim for job seeker`s allowance you must be eligible for work !
If you feel that you are no longer eligible then you must first get a note from your doctor saying why they think you are not able to work .
Then you must ask the dhss to assess your claim again , they may ask you to have an independent examination off one of "their" own doctor`s then if he feel`s that you are unfit for work then you can claim income support .But in the mean time you can make a claim for incapacity benefit !
No matter what do not just sign of as you will find yourself without money as they will stop your benefit , go to the doctor`s asap and get a sick note explain you situation and if they are already aware of your disability then they will do this for you straight away take this to the dhss as soon as you get it .

Let your doctor decide if your fit. If you are fit get a job or train for a job!

You have to get a note from your doctor, and take it to your local DSS office, or send it by post.
They will do the rest, and there should be no interruption to your payments.
