how long does it take to get pregnant after being on the depo shot? My last shot was in January of 2006. Me & hubby have been trying but no results yet. Why is it taking so long? Oh I was on it since my son was born in 2003.

It can take up to 18mths for it to get out of your system, or you can get pregnant as soon as you miss your next shot..it all depends on your body.
It took me 13mths to concieve after my last injection.

I was on the depo shot for three years and once i stopped taking it i became pregnant 11 months later.

Depo-Provera is not a good choice if you want to be pregnant in the next year or two. Why? Because it typically takes 9 to 10 months to become pregnant after you stop taking Depo-Provera as a contraceptive. It could even take up to 24 months after discontinuing use of Depo-Provera for you to become pregnant. Some women get pregnant right off the depo shot and some have to go to a specialist to get pregnant.

I think it is different with everybody my mom was on depo and it took her 3 yrs to get pregnant although she was also 40.

quit trying and just relax and when you least expect it, it will happen. It took me 4 years
