He actually started out a fairly good guy. Got Germany through a horrible depression, he was even behind the Volkswagon Beetle being developed so that every German could afford a car.

Then he went nuts. You know the rest of the story.

That's a very difficult question to answer and hinges on another question.

Was Hitler sane?

If he was, then he couldn't have thought he was a good person. He could have been taking revenge for something or maybe he thought what he was doing was necessary for society even if it would damn him.

If he wasn't, then it's completely possible that he thought he was doing good with his Final Solution, but I hold firmly to the belief that no properly wired person can still think of themselves as a good person after initiaing the Holocaust (at least on some level)

Oh ya !! Hitler thought his race was superior. He was to get rid of the Jewish people and then he had plans to start culling out other races too. If he had been allowed to continue on, who knows which race he would have started to eliminate. He was a sick person and Thank God, he came to an end. He claimed to know God , but was a true Hypocrite. He used the word of God to win innocent Germans over. A False prophet.

Ok. Lets just put it like this. Hitler hated the Jews. So he wanted to terminate all of them. Hitler wanted the German Nazis to be more superior than everyone else. So yes. I think that in his merciless diabolical mind, he thought he was doing something good.

Hitler thought what he was going was good. Every person that he killed, he felt accomplished about himself. He also thought he was protecting other people from the Jews and others, so he in the end thought he was a good person.

Yes, he thought he was doing the world a favor by killing all the jews and trying to create the "superior race". He may have been wicked and evil, but he was a genius in his own way. And if you ever have a chance you should study him.

Yes. He in fact, viewed himself as God. This was the reason he did the book burning and was writing the Nazi Bible. He believed he was placed on Earth to rid the world of its problems and to create a single all-powerful, glorified race, free from blasphemy, disease etc.

So he believed by murdering millions of people that he was in fact being "good."

Of course, we all know what an idiot/monster/villian/sicko he was.

Hitler was a Christian, and a regular churchgoer. And he only had sex with one woman in his life - Eva Braun. He was otherwise quite celibate.

Can you imagine what it must've been like to be her.
