My computer fan and everthing turns on when I press power but I dont get anything on the screen. No bios or nothing. I know its not the hard drive because I put it on a different computer and it work. Its either the mother board or the processor. So how do I test that out? Thanks

Could be the system board, could be a part of the power supply quit working. Get a volt meter and check the power supply outputs. There should be +5 VDC, -5 VDC, +12 VDC and -12 VDC. I've only seen 2 bad CPU's out of the thousand of computers I've repaired.

Sure its not your monitor? Could be anything really... Motherboard, power supply, video card, etc. Probably not your processor unless you were overclocking, in which case you would probably know what the problem is anyway. If you are not familiar with troubleshooting I would take it somewhere to get it checked out before something else breaks. No offense but learning troubleshooting on your own stuff isn't the best.

1. Processor tester (normally the manufacturers only have these)
2. Burnt marks
3. Try th eprocessor in a known good mainboard

I've seen bad mother boards that can fry CPUs. Unless you have compatible, working hardware there is no way to test it.

I use Asus in almost all my builds. Gigabyte does have some nice boards too. Stay away from Mercs thou.

It can also be your video card since that is what transfers everything to your monitor.
