yes, Vista comes out in a week or two and you will have better compatibility if you wait and buy a computer with Vista pre-installed.

Buy one now while retailers are trying to dump pc's that are not vista ready the prices will be low and then stick with XP

If you can, then you might as well. It would be nicer to have Vista already installed so you don't have to upgrade yourself later on.

At this point it does not matter. The various PC manufacturers have been gearing up for this.
