This happens at least once a song, it doesn't matter if I'm downloading or not... it even seems to skip when i'm downstreaming the radio stations.

by skipping i mean like a scratched c.d.

by skipping i do not mean not playing certain songs i mean stuttering while playing a song much like an old vinyl record would "skip" when it was scratched.

Your computer might be really slow or something which could effect the playback of songs. It probably has to do with how many programs you are running in the background that you don't know about, it has nothing to do with downloading. As for online radio stations, they always stutter becasue you are constantly streaming, so that is pretty normal.

The most reasonable explination for this is that either your computer has too much programs running and if your computer is a laptop the most reasonable thing that could be happening is that the laptop is in movement and because the harddrive doesnt have an antiskip, then your music would skip because of this. Ipods never skip because they have a unique antiskip feature no matter how much time it is in movement it wont skip. It could also be that random is on. I also have an Ipod Video 30GB thats 1year old and it has had no problem with skipping so far, I love my Ipod.

Itunes has a special sofware that correct problems with CDs and plays them correctly on your ipod.

its probablyy cause its on repeat or random or shuffle. see if the options are set correct. if not call up itunes or jus go on their site and see

You might have some of them not checked, if they're not checked it won't play.
