The SPanish American War is one. The Moors (African muslims) spent centuries fighting Spain. The Spanish had a civil war right before WWII. Spain and England fought back in the late 1700's - the Spanish Armada vs the growing British Navy. Cortez was a Spaniard and he fought the Aztecs and destroyed their entire culture. I'm sure there are some I am forgetting. Hope this helps.

I need to correct the first post. The Spanish-American war was fought in the 1890s.

As to answer your question, I need to know which war you are talking about. Are you talking about the Span-Am war, or are you talking about any of the numerous "Secession" wars that were fought in feudal Europe whenever a monarch died with no direct heir?

During the Span-Am war, future president Teddy Roosevelt led a team of "Rough Riders" in Cuba.

Americans. The spanish-american war. I am thinking it was around 1812, because it was pre-civil war.
