famous dying scream?

I cant think of the name of this.. but in Return of the Jedi when Han throws the helmet at the imp officer in the bunker he screams like it.

its a famous scream..

what is the name of it and how did it become so famous?

its the wilhelm scream, its been being used since the 20's or 30's and has been in many major movies

its been at least 3 of the 6 star wars movies, -- from what we {my husband and i collectivly} understand, we think that its a particular sound guy that works on a lot of movies, but!!! we could be wrong... we read a thing on it - in the Uncle John's bathroom reader books {great trivia stuff}

It's called the "Wilhelm Scream," and I think it's so famous because it's used so often as a stock sound effect, and it VERY easy to identify when you hear it.
