FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Bill Belichick and Tom Brady won three Super Bowls with Eric Mangini on their side.
The Patriots coach taught his former student that maybe he can win another without him -- especially with his quarterback in championship form.
Brady capped long scoring drives with short touchdown passes to Daniel Graham and Kevin Faulk, and Asante Samuel sealed it with a 36-yard interception return for a score with 4:54 left as New England beat Mangini's New York Jets 37-16 on Sunday.

Hey, the Pats are just a better team. There's not much the Jets can do about it unless they draft well and make some trade to improve their defense.

If the Jets win i will dye my hair purple and sell my PS3! all of us comprehend its not likely to be a blowout yet you cant say that Patriots are going to lose in Foxsboro against a set they play against 20 cases in a decade. 40 5 -3 human beings 40 5 - 3 . besides If the Jets win i think the Steelers are going to Dallas. yet i'm not count selection the Jets out only yet. The Patriots beat the Lions 24-40 5 . If the LIONS CAN score 24 ON THANKSGIVING DAY THEN THE JETS could make A game IN MASSACHUSETTS. I say Jets pull an early lead going into the 2nd 13-7. 13 - 14 Patriots @ the a million/2 then Pats opens the flood gates and pours 5 TD interior the 2nd a million/2 with 2 turnovers interior the 2nd a million/2 very final score 40 9-28

As much as it pains me to say this, as I am a diehard Pats fan (yes, I was a fan during the sucky years too, not just a Brady bandwaggoner), the Jets are the future of the AFC East. Pennington is very good, Washington is an excellent back, and the corp of recievers is top notch. Once they get a top flight defense to match the offense, they will be a 12-4 team year in and year out.
So, the answer to the question, in my opinion, would be to build up the D.

Ok, the Patriots won, congrats. But there is no need to rub it in. I thought the Jets played well all season. They finished alot better than alot of people expected them to. Who knows the Jets may have the best team in the league next season. Gotta wait and see.
Honestly I don't think the Patriots will make it to the Superbowl this year, but you never know, if they play like they did today, they could surprise some people.

They will recover just fine. This team was not projected to win more than 4 games this year.

they werent supposed to win
besides, this is better than what they expected with a new coach
last year they were at the bottom, so there's always room for improvement!
