Distinguish clearly between the terms omnivore and carnivore?

Carnivores only eat meat and animal products.
Omnivores eat both animal and plant products.

Also,
Herbivores only eat plant products.

A carnivore eats only or mostly animal based food - which may include insects or dead animals as well as prey it has caught. An omnivore, by definition, eats a variety of both animal and plant based foods.

Note that the definitions indicate not only capability but actual habits. Dogs, for example, are capable of eating some plant material and actually do consume some, but they are *primarily* carnivores.

if you were a carnivore it would mean that you only ate meat . if you were an omnivore then you would eat both plants and meats.
